Who we are: Slow English Encounters, a free English-learning channel. Contact: pipbusiness@mail.grokbot.com.
What we collect: when you ask for a free transcript, we store only:
- your email address
- which episode's transcript you asked for
- whether you ticked the optional box "Send me future free transcripts and lessons", and the date and time
We don't ask for your name and we don't store your IP address with your email.
Why: to give you the transcript you asked for and to keep a record of your choice. We don't send any emails right now. If you ticked the optional box, we may later email you free transcripts and lessons; each of those emails will say who it's from and have an unsubscribe link. If you didn't tick it, we won't email you. You get the transcript either way. Legal basis (UK/EU): your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Where it's stored: in a database on Cloudflare (our website host), which may store data in the United States or other countries. Cloudflare also sees standard web traffic data when you visit any website it hosts.
We never sell, rent or share your email. It's only used by Slow English Encounters.
How long: until you ask us to delete it, or until we close the channel's list.
Your rights: you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or withdraw your consent, by emailing pipbusiness@mail.grokbot.com from the address you used. Put "Delete my email" in the subject. We'll do it within 30 days. In the UK/EU you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Age: the sign-up is for people aged 16 or older.
This notice may change if we start sending emails. We'll update the date above.
